Pat and Mike are both Army veterans who deployed to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division during the height of the war. Since leaving active duty, they’ve each simultaneously felt tremendous pride in their service while also struggling at times to reconcile some of their experiences. Over the years, for Pat through recovery and Mike through mental health therapy, they’ve both realized that these feelings are not mutually exclusive. Now they’re looking to connect with other veterans who may also be finding themselves in some part of this gray area. Sharing their stories with each other has helped them a great deal and they’re hoping that other veterans will find similar benefits joining the conversation.
